Forthcoming Books: For those interested in keeping up with the latest books on the market, this page is for you. Summarised from the forthcoming books list found in Locus (the newsmagazine of the SF and Fantasy field) and other sources, this list will let you know what books are coming out and when will they be available.
The Other Change of Hobbit: This mail-order company is a favourite source of books of SFAS members. Hobbit charges a flat transport rate for orders, so by combining your order with that of several friends, you'll save on the cost of S&H. (SFAS members: contact Freda for information on joining the semi-regular SFAS order.)
Bookfinder (Main online booktores)
ABE Books (Out-of-print and hard-to-find books): These two places search for a particular book and allow you to compare prices and availability. Bookfinder is good for recent or 'mainstream' titles; ABE Books for rarer works.
Pandora's Books
Fantastic Collectibles: Two decent places for ordering 2nd hand SF books.
The Bookwire list of SF booksellers
Internet Speculative Fiction Database
Internet Book Information Centre: The IBIC has a good collection of links of interest to general book readers, like a resource guide and book reviews.
Tor Books: The website of Tor Books contains chapters of their latest books as well as a publishing schedule so you can find out which books are coming out when.
Del Rey Books: Similarly, Del Rey Books contains excerpts of their newest releases and a publishing schedule. A monthly newsletter provides information about events at the company.
Baen Books: Featured at this site are lots of graphic images of covers from Baen Books titles. Looks good; just be prepared to wait a while for their homepage to display completely.
